Still life

So, I added texture...


My third class and this time I chose to study a still life. Our dear instructor bring stuff with her for us to draw. I again used soft compressed charcoal and I am actually kind of happy with what I achieved. I want to add some texture to the grater and strainer. Will do that and post the updated version soon.

Oranges & Bottle on a Couch

Our instructor asked to practice outside class also so I set this still life at home. I tried Compressed Charcoal (soft) for the first time. It creates a very dramatic look!

School Corridor

From my second drawing class. We had a choice to study a still life or architecture. So I did this in Vine Charcoal again. Overall it turned out alright.

Pear & Garlic

I recently registered for drawing class and this is from the first class. I used Vine Charcoal for the first time and love the effect and soft look it creates.

Study: Light and Shadows

I was trying to study light and shadow using one of the picture from Peurto Rico trip and some imagination. I may color it. Not sure...

Kitchen Sink

I did this quick still life study. I used painter for the first time and really like the pencil tool. Its almost like drawing on paper - really cool! I am trying to paint it but have not achieved results that would make me happy. If it turns out good enough, I will post the color version here.
